HOW TO CALL

To make a call, simply follow these dialing instructions.:

  1. Dial an access number exactly as it appears above.
  2. Enter your PennyTalk account number and 4-digit PIN when prompted.
  3. Enter the number you wish to call. For calls to Canada and the U.S., dial 1+area code + the phone number. For calls to other countries, dial 011 + country code + city code + local number. (Note: drop any leading zeros from the country or city codes; for example, if the code is 014, dial 14.)

Is there an easy way to make another call right away from a landline?

When you finish with your first call, don’t hang up – let the other person hang up. After they hang up, press the # key three times and you’ll be asked to enter the phone number you want to call.

Do PennyTalk Mobile apps work from outside of Canada?

Unfortunately, no – not at this time. PennyTalk Mobile apps are available to download in other countries such as the U.S., the U.K. and France. You’ll need to create a new in-country PennyTalk account with an in-country iTunes or Google Play account and an in-country billing method.

Are there any other charges I should be aware of?

Depending on how you make your calls, you may incur additional charges from your mobile, landline or payphone service provider to access PennyTalk. We offer local and toll-free access numbers in many locations to offer you choice and to provide you with the most cost-efficient way to access PennyTalk.

PennyTalk is not responsible for any charges you incur from other service providers. Please check with your mobile, landline, hotel or payphone service provider if you are unsure of any charges you may incur. For example, if you use a toll-free access number from a hotel, please check with the hotel to ensure the access number is considered toll-free by the hotel.
